Show Overview:  The most prestigious lighting trade show in China, Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition + Electrical Building Technology reached a new level in June 2005. Six exhibition halls in Pazhou International Exhibition & Convention Center with more than 80,000m2 , welcomed more than 1,200 companies coming from 18 countries, including Germany, Spain, Italy, US, France, UK, Singapore, etc. 6 exhibition halls were categorized as 2 for brand names, 2 for domestic lighting, 1 for technical & exterior lighting, LED & electric lights and 1 for lighting accessories for electric components & electrical building technology. During the three and a half days show time, more than 40,000 attendees flocked to the exhibition center, among of which 8,000 were from 101 countries overseas. Most of the visitors come from the sectors of trading, distribution, wholesale, government, building, real estate, profession association and other related industries.

With over 1,250 manufacturers and suppliers to exhibit, and a comprehensive symposium covering a range of hot topics for lighting industry professionals, the fair promised to be a major source of new products and critical business information. The Exhibitors In total, 1,250 exhibitors cover over 80,000sqm of floor space. With 23 countries and regions represented, a complete overview of products available in the global lighting marketplace was on show. As world's second largest lighting event, the Guangzhou fair attracted all the industry heavyweights, including GE Lighting, Philips, Osram, Fumagalli, Thorn, Endo Lighting, Tridonic.atco, Alanod, Vollmann, Wieland, Prosperity Lighting and Cooper. The Exhibits The show housed every type of light, fitting and component imaginable; from the technologically advanced, to the aesthetically pleasing. Exhibits in the lighting fair were grouped into seven major categories; technical & exterior lighting, domestic lighting, professional lighting, electric lighting, accessories and electronic components, light control, management & measurement systems, and light production & measurement equipment. On the building automation side, three major categories of products were shown; electrical engineering, solar energy technology, and lifts & escalators. The "Brand Name Halls" housed the finest and most advanced product offerings from the world's leading manufacturers.
